Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist for project management in hydraulic engineering with a focus on flood protection, watercourse construction and revitalisation. You take on the client representation and manage demanding projects from planning through approval procedures and tendering to realisation. In doing so, you coordinate engineering offices, cantonal specialist offices, authorities and other project participants and ensure a professionally, timely and financially controlled project execution. Smaller hydraulic engineering and watercourse projects you plan and implement independently if required.
Responsibilities:
Assuming the client representation for hydraulic engineering and flood protection projects
Independent management and control of flood protection, watercourse construction and revitalisation projects
Coordination of projects across the various planning, approval and implementation phases
Leadership and support of commissioned engineering offices, planners and executing companies
Coordination with cantonal specialist offices, authorities, landowners and other stakeholders
Planning and realisation of smaller watercourse construction, maintenance and protection projects
Technical support of hydraulic, hydraulic engineering and aquatic ecological investigations
Participation in variant studies, feasibility analyses and technical project bases
Control and monitoring of costs, deadlines, quality and project progress
Support of tenders, awards and execution work in water and civil engineering
Coordination of requirements from flood protection, watercourse maintenance and revitalisation
Ensuring project execution in accordance with relevant SIA standards as well as cantonal and federal water protection and hydraulic engineering regulations
Qualifications:
Degree as BSc/FH Civil Engineer, certified technician HF, environmental engineer, spatial planner or comparable professional training
Sound expertise in hydraulic engineering, especially in flood protection, watercourse construction and/or revitalisation
Experience in project management, project leadership or client representation, ideally in public infrastructure projects
Knowledge of Swiss planning, approval and construction processes as well as relevant hydraulic engineering regulations and standards
Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
