Senior Software Engineer (Python/Go) 80-100% (m/f/d)

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Software Engineer (Python/Go) for a temporary assignment of 12 months.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Coding! ... including contributions to open source software that we use or maintain!
• Writing and implementing design documents (RFCs)
• Documenting your creations, as well as ensuring great automated test coverage
• Serving as a role model - and helping the team to follow software engineering best-practices

Must Haves

• Highly motivated Software Engineer with ownership mindset
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in large-scale or high-growth environments
• Strong background in scalable systems and modern engineering practices
• Recent hands-on experience with Python and/or Go
• Business domain: compute infrastructure & platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes (usage, concepts, and operations)
• Familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS
• Experience in test automation, ideally with pytest
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to take responsibility
• English fluent is a MUST

Nice to haves

• Interest in or experience with tools such as HashiCorp Vault, FluxCD, Kustomize, Terraform, Grafana, GitLab, Slack, and Linear
