Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Construction Manager Building Construction for the independent realisation of demanding and sustainable building construction projects. You will take operational responsibility from tendering and awarding through construction execution to turnkey handover and ensure compliance with cost, schedule, and quality requirements. A focus lies on BKP/NPK tenders, contractor coordination, construction cost control, and quality management. You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, specialist planners, and executing companies.

Responsibilities:

• Independent construction management of building projects from the tender phase to acceptance and turnkey handover

• Responsibility for schedule, cost, and quality control as well as ongoing monitoring of construction progress

• Coordination and leadership of architects, engineers, specialist planners, subcontractors, and other project participants during realisation

• Preparation of tenders according to BKP and NPK including specifications and complete tender documents

• Conducting offer comparisons and bid evaluations as well as preparing the basis for contractor awards

• Checking measurements, extra work, and contractor invoices as well as supporting ongoing construction cost control

• Organisation, leadership, and minute-taking of construction and coordination meetings as well as consistent follow-up of agreed measures

• Execution of construction supervision and quality control as well as checking completed work against plans, contracts, and technical specifications

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, NPK requirements, Swiss building regulations, and occupational safety regulations

• Maintaining a complete construction and project documentation including pending issues, changes, claims, and relevant contractor documents

• Organisation of acceptances, defect management, and building handovers as well as coordination of timely defect rectification

Qualifications:

• Completed basic construction technical training with further education as construction manager, technician HF construction planning, or comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience in construction management of building projects in Switzerland

• Sound knowledge of BKP, NPK, tendering, bidding, and contractor awarding

• Experience in schedule planning, construction cost control, measurement, and invoice verification

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations

• Very good user skills in Microsoft Office and common construction administration software

• Good German language skills spoken and written
