Role:
For a growing, internationally active company in the medical technology sector headquartered in the Basel region, we are looking for a committed junior professional in finance and accounting.
In this role, you will take responsibility for the ongoing accounting of several companies, actively participate in financial statements and reporting, and contribute to the further development of modern finance processes. You can expect a professional, internationally oriented environment with high quality standards and attractive social benefits.
Responsibilities:
Ongoing financial accounting of assigned companies including general and subsidiary ledgers, asset accounting as well as provisions and accruals
Participation in monthly, quarterly, half-year and annual financial statements including account reconciliations and plausibility checks
Management of operational accounting processes such as accounts payable/receivable, payment transactions, cash, expenses and dunning
Preparation of VAT returns and support with other tax and finance-related reports
Preparation of documents for audits and tax inspections in cooperation with external partners
Collaboration on the digitalisation and automation of finance processes as well as internal evaluations
Qualifications:
Completed commercial training with further education in finance and accounting or comparable qualification
Initial to several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally with experience in financial statements
Structured, precise and reliable working style with a strong understanding of numbers
Very good knowledge of MS Office 365 (especially Excel), SAP knowledge is an advantage
Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
