Head of Software Testing and Quality (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 140,000The expertise of our ROCKEN partner lies in the evaluation, planning and implementation of sophisticated methods. The partner's service includes test management, test automation and project management of heterogeneous IT solutions.
Role:
In this role, you will take on the leadership of software testing and quality assurance in demanding customer projects. You are responsible for the professional expansion of the testing area and ensure that test strategies, plans and processes are purposefully defined and implemented. You manage and coordinate testing activities across various project phases and ensure high transparency regarding test progress and quality. You work closely with project stakeholders, advise them on testing and quality issues, and thus contribute decisively to the successful implementation of complex software solutions. As a Senior Test Manager, you actively shape structures, standards and best practices and drive the continuous improvement of the testing organisation.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, you take end-to-end responsibility for planning, controlling and executing software tests.
- You develop and implement test strategies for manual and automated tests.
- As Head of Software Testing and Quality, you coordinate stakeholders, interfaces and suppliers throughout the entire testing process.
- You ensure complete test documentation, meaningful reporting and high quality transparency.
- You are responsible for defect management, including tracking and prioritising error reports.
- In this role, you lead and coach test teams professionally and promote continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- You have a degree in business informatics, business administration, software development or a comparable qualification.
- You have several years of experience in test management or test consulting, ideally in agile or scaled projects (Scrum, SAFe, DevOps).
- You are proficient with common test and project tools such as JIRA, Xray, Zephyr, Azure DevOps or ALM.
- You hold an ISTQB Advanced Level certificate (or an equivalent qualification) and are familiar with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit or TestNG.
- You communicate convincingly at all levels – from the project team to C-level – and work independently, structured and with entrepreneurial thinking.
- You speak fluent German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage, as is experience in Swiss projects.
