ICT Security Engineer / Cyber Security Specialist (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the technical security of complex Linux, cloud, and infrastructure environments and continuously develop existing security measures.
You conduct risk analyses, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments for new services, projects, and technical changes.
You check systems using vulnerability scans, hardening checks, configuration and permission analyses, and derive appropriate improvements.
You develop security concepts for networks, web applications, storage, HPC, and virtual environments.
You support the securing of identity & access management, MFA, SSH, privileged access, and service accounts.
You automate security and infrastructure processes with Shell, Python, infrastructure as code, and modern configuration management approaches.
You accompany audits and ensure comprehensible documentation, reports, and security evidence.
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in computer science, cyber security, or a comparable technical field.
You bring at least three years of experience in IT security, systems security, or the secure operation of Linux-based infrastructures.
You are familiar with vulnerability management, system hardening, logging, monitoring, penetration testing, and security assessments.
You have solid knowledge of networks, firewalls, VLANs, DMZs, as well as virtual and cloud-based environments.
You have experience with IAM, SSH, MFA, privileged access management, as well as role- and project-based permission concepts.
You know common security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001 and can implement technical requirements practically.
You communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders and convince through responsibility, discretion, and a structured working style.
