Multiskilled Mechanic / Production Mechanic

Socorex Isba SA is a Swiss family SME renowned worldwide for the quality and reliability of its products in their specific niche markets. From its site in Ecublens, it manufactures and distributes worldwide a wide range of precision instruments for liquid dosing intended for laboratories in many scientific fields, as well as in animal health.

For our Production, we are looking for a

Work rate: 100%

Your activities:

• Perform adjustments, machining and inspection of parts on CNC machines, notably Schaublin 110 CNC with Fanuc control, Schaublin 102 CNC Combitec and Haas CL-1
• Participate in the design and manufacture of tooling, production means and prototypes
• Ensure the proper upkeep of the workshop, particularly regarding tidiness, organisation, work instructions and management of inspection instruments, and act as a reference in these areas
• Provide support for surface treatment operations, notably for the Teflon coating of glass components
• Carry out mechanical grinding operations on Centerless and conventional machines
• Set up and use presses and other equipment intended for crimping, swaging and cutting parts
• Perform manual assembly, touch-up, deburring and polishing work
• Provide technical assistance during the development and improvement of manufacturing processes
• Train and support temporary staff as well as new employees in acquiring working methods, good manufacturing practices and quality requirements
• Contribute, according to company needs, to various tasks and activities within the workshops

Your Profile:

• Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as multiskilled mechanic or production mechanic or equivalent training
• Proven experience in setting up and using CNC machines
• Knowledge of Schaublin, Haas and Centerless machines desired
• Experience in machining plastics appreciated
• Rigorous, autonomous, flexible and versatile person
• Good command of French
• Sensitivity to quality requirements ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
