Platform Engineer Kubernetes (m/f/d)
Our partner is an owner-managed IT service company and has been successful for over 25 years with the full spectrum of IT solutions. Tailored to public administrations, energy suppliers and SMEs in the service sector, our partner employs around 100 staff and impresses with excellent industry and technology know-how.
Role:
In this role, you build, operate and further develop an on-premises Kubernetes platform, including CNI, Ingress, load balancing and DNS. You automate the infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps, take on monitoring, logging and troubleshooting at system and network level, and work closely with development teams on deployment and optimisation of applications. You operate and modernise Linux server environments with Docker and also support other topics around DevOps and virtualisation. You bring solid experience in operating Kubernetes clusters and container technologies, have very good Linux skills in troubleshooting, performance and networking, as well as know-how in automation, security aspects and confident German communication. In this responsible position, you actively shape a modern platform landscape and ensure that stable, secure and high-performance environments are available for diverse applications.
Responsibilities:
You build, operate and further develop the Kubernetes platform including CNI, Ingress, load balancing and DNS
You automate the infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
You are responsible for monitoring, logging and troubleshooting at system and network level
You collaborate with development teams on deployment, operation and optimisation of applications
You operate, maintain and modernise Linux systems with container technologies
You also support other DevOps and virtualisation topics
Qualifications:
You bring solid experience in operating Kubernetes clusters and container technologies
You are familiar with monitoring and logging stacks from practice
You have very good Linux skills in troubleshooting, performance, networking, routing, firewalls and load balancing
You have knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Helm or Argo CD
You understand security aspects such as RBAC, network policies and secrets management
You work independently and in a structured manner and communicate confidently in German
