About the job

The Verdeil Foundation is a private institution of public utility, recognised by the Directorate General of Compulsory Education of the Canton of Vaud (DGEO).

It offers tailored learning situations for children and adolescents with special needs. With more than 500 staff members, it comprises six schools, five TEM training centres (school-to-work transition), a mobile educational service and a UAT (temporary reception unit).

Location: Philosophes School in Yverdon

1st position

Activity rate: 100%

2nd position

Activity rate: 78% Wednesday morning + 3 full days

Start date: immediately or to be agreed

Location: Pierrefleur School in Yverdon

Activity rate: 78% Wednesday morning + Tuesday – Thursday and Friday full days

Start date: 1 November 2026

Mission

Provide teaching adapted to the developmental potential of each pupil while respecting their identity. You will be required to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in classes of primary and/or secondary pupils presenting significant learning delays, difficulties in acquisition and development, and autism spectrum disorders.

Required profile

• Confirmed or ongoing master’s degree in special education or a basic qualification allowing access to the master’s (HES educator, psychologist)
• Experience working with people with ASD and challenging behaviours
• Management of educational projects and didactic organisation
• Organisational skills, planning and delegation, ease in communication and collaboration
