As head of the newly created Department University and Society, you will lead the department personnel-wise and financially. You are responsible for the continuing education and service offerings in the areas of university teaching, counselling training, adult education and life-long learning and will strategically develop these further.Your tasks include:
- Planning, implementing and further developing offers and projects together with the department staff (including budget responsibility).
- Leading and purposefully promoting staff; planning of work portfolios
- Systematic collaboration with other departments at the Institute for Continuing Education and Services as well as other committees of the University of Teacher Education
- Conducting performance negotiations with various stakeholders; preparing offers
- Co-responsibility for the development of the institute as a member of the extended institute management
- Engagement in continuing education teaching and/or in service projects (including acquisition) according to own expertise
Your profile:
You are an integrative, solution-oriented and pragmatic personality with pronounced communication skills. You gladly take on leadership, personnel and project responsibility and move confidently in the university and school environment. You seek the big picture and are accustomed to managing interfaces and collaborating with people from various disciplinary backgrounds.In addition, you bring the following:
- Completed university degree (university, ETH, university of applied sciences) in an educational science discipline; doctorate is an advantage
- Expertise in university didactics, innovative teaching-learning settings, digital teaching, coaching/counselling and/or life-long learning
- Proof of university didactic qualification
- Experience in acquisition and implementation of service projects as well as in continuing education at universities
- Leadership experience in expert organisations (ideally in the university sector) as well as management skills
