The Centre for Dementia Development and Ageing Health treats people aged 65 and over in an outpatient setting. The Consultation and Liaison Service for Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychotherapy offers outreach geriatric psychiatric care for older people with mental and organic brain disorders in their home environment as well as in residential and nursing institutions.

Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Geriatric Psychiatry - Consultation and Liaison Service

Your Tasks
- Conduct nursing assessments of older people with complex psychiatric or organic brain disorders in their home environment or in institutions
- Advise and support nursing and care teams in dealing with challenging situations in everyday care
- Conduct nursing consultations, care rounds and case discussions
- Advise patients and relatives on dealing with mental illnesses in old age
- Plan and conduct training sessions for nursing and care teams
- Promote interprofessional collaboration between institutions, outpatient services and psychiatric specialists
- Contribute to the further development of nursing concepts and services in the consultation and liaison service
- Participate in the strategic and professional development of the service within the framework of dual leadership
Your Profile
- Master of Science in Nursing (MScN)
- Professional experience in psychiatric nursing, ideally in geriatric psychiatry
- Strong clinical expertise as well as enthusiasm for counselling, coaching and knowledge transfer
- Interest in evidence-based nursing practice and quality development
- Strong communication skills, interprofessional thinking and an integrative personality
- Independent, structured and reflective working style
