What you can contribute

• Handle requests from media professionals, prepare positions, provide information, write press releases, as well as prepare, organise and lead media events
• Conduct research to write documentation and articles or revise such texts
• Write speeches for the FOEN director and accompany her during her appearances
• Lead and coordinate crisis communication as well as projects in the field of communication
• Ensure coordination with departments and federal offices
• Prepare publications for social media

What makes you unique

• Degree from a university (Master's) or equivalent training in media or communication
• Several years of experience in writing and journalism, very good knowledge of the Swiss political system and, ideally, also of the federal administration
• In-depth knowledge of the Swiss media system, network of contacts in Swiss environmental journalism, mastery of various communication channels (targeted communication)
• Sharp sensitivity to political communication
• Resilience to heavy workloads, sense of responsibility, negotiation skills and ability to maintain an overview
• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language, passive knowledge of a third official language and good knowledge of English

You convey high-quality information and messages to the dynamic media world, at the right time, on environment-related topics. Through your writing skills and keen sense of political communication, you help the FOEN management and specialists present the many topics handled by FOEN in a comprehensible and media-appropriate manner.
