Nurse / Head of Care Unit (IRUS) at 100%
Your role
Under the responsibility of the head nurse, you are a key reference person close to the field and the teams. You ensure the smooth running of daily care, support staff in their practices, and contribute to guaranteeing the quality and safety of resident care.
You also ensure rigorous follow-up of care records and actively participate in the implementation and improvement of service processes.
Your main responsibilities
- Participate in the construction, implementation, and continuous improvement of service processes in the context of the facility's opening.
- Organise and plan fieldwork in coordination with the head nurse, respecting labour legislation, the Geneva EMS CCT, and Tertianum directives.
- Maintain a close presence with the teams and support staff in their daily work. Accompany and coach them so they can rely on clear processes, good practices, and common benchmarks to act with confidence and autonomy.
- Ensure the quality and continuity of care documentation and support teams in good traceability practices.
- Act as a liaison between the field and the head nurse: identify team needs, report relevant information, and contribute to finding appropriate solutions.
- Support teams in evaluating and managing clinical situations, especially complex ones, promoting safe, coherent, and interdisciplinary care.
- Participate in welcoming, integrating, and developing the skills of new staff, apprentices, and interns.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary work and maintain trusting relationships with residents, their relatives, and other sectors.
- Assume responsibilities entrusted by the head nurse and support them in service management, including acting as deputy in their absence.
Your profile
- Diploma as a nurse ES/HES or equivalent training recognised by the Swiss Red Cross.
- Proven experience in elderly care; experience in EMS is an asset.
- Experience in a reference or supervisory role is an asset.
- Strong affinity for fieldwork, closeness to teams, and ability to support with kindness and rigour.
- Rigour in managing and documenting care records.
- Good organisational, communication, and transmission skills.
- Sensitivity to interdisciplinary work and continuous improvement.
- Empathy, listening skills, and ease in relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues.
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
