In this role, you contribute significantly to the stability and further development of modern backup and archiving platforms with technical expertise and precise working methods. You take responsibility for system operations in two data centres and ensure a secure, high-performance and highly available infrastructure. You are responsible for the continuous monitoring, optimisation and maintenance of the systems and ensure smooth operation of the entire environment. Additionally, you competently support users with technical concerns and contribute your ideas to improve processes and workflows. Through your structured, reliable and solution-oriented working style, you make a direct contribution to a high-quality and future-proof IT system landscape.
Responsibilities:
- You operate and maintain physical as well as virtual server and network systems.
- In this role, you administer and maintain our Linux and Windows environments.
- You install and maintain basic software such as monitoring solutions, operating systems and system services.
- As part of IT system operations and user support, you technically implement infrastructure projects such as migrations and rollouts.
- You contribute to the further development of our cyber security strategy as well as to testing and validating new system versions.
- In this role, you handle technical requests in 2nd and 3rd level support and optimise internal processes through documentation, automation and standardisation.
Qualifications:
- You have solid experience in administering Windows and/or Linux servers.
- You are well versed in network and system infrastructures such as virtualisation, firewalls and storage.
- Ideally, you have practical experience with Proxmox, Ceph, Azure, M365 and preferably also with Kubernetes.
- You work independently, in a structured manner and find solution-oriented ways through complex tasks.
- You enjoy technical development, like to contribute to the team and remain good-humoured.
- You communicate confidently in German, both spoken and written, and always act in a customer-oriented manner.
