• Inform and alert authorities and the public in case of flooding or drought
• Ensure the quality of hydrological models in the operational forecasting system
• Enhance the team with your solid experience in machine learning models applied to forecasting
• Develop strategies and plans to evolve the range of models and forecasting systems used
• Bring innovative ideas for the development of new products
• Participate in the work of national and international bodies

What makes you unique

• Degree from a university of applied sciences in hydrology or environmental sciences or equivalent recognised training and experience in hydrological models
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning models
• Proven experience in managing projects involving complex IT systems
• Good IT skills related to managing large data sets
• Good active knowledge of at least one other official language and ideally knowledge of the third; good active knowledge of English
• Willingness to perform on-call duties, including at weekends
