Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
Role:
Our client is an internationally active service company with a dynamic and demanding business environment. To strengthen the finance team, we are looking for an experienced individual who will take responsibility for accounting and actively contribute as a sparring partner to the finance management in further developing financial processes.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for general and subsidiary ledgers including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and asset accounting
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
Support of the CFO in financial reporting, KPI analyses, and management evaluations
Participation in budgeting, forecasts, and financial planning
Contact person for auditors, tax consultants, and authorities during closing and audit processes
Ensuring compliance with legal as well as internal financial and compliance requirements
Further development and digitalisation of accounting and financial processes
Participation in ERP system implementations, updates, and process optimisations
Support in ad-hoc analyses and business projects
Qualifications:
Completed commercial basic training (EFZ) with further education as Specialist in Finance and Accounting with Federal Diploma or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally as a senior accountant or in a comparable role
Sound knowledge in preparing financial statements according to Swiss OR as well as in financial reporting
Very good knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP and financial systems
Very good German skills as well as good English skills, both written and spoken
