The central inpatient dispatch ensures efficient coordination of all planned patient admissions, surgeries, and pre-admission examinations. As a central hub, it connects doctors, nursing staff, and patients, ensuring a smooth process.

Dispatcher for the "central inpatient dispatch" 80-100%
from August 2026 or by arrangement
Your main tasks
- Organisation and coordination of inpatient admissions
- Independent and responsible determination of admission and surgery dates (reservation of operating theatre and bed at the department level)
- Ensuring transparency within the dispatch tool KISIM
- Planning and coordination of outpatient procedures, interventions, and pre-admission diagnostics
- Operation planning of inpatient, semi-inpatient as well as outpatient procedures at USZ and Circle
- In case of bottlenecks (beds, operating theatre, staff), decision in consultation with the responsible doctors about the priority of patients to be admitted and postponement if necessary
- Contact person for doctors, nursing staff, patient administration and reception as well as for patients regarding admission procedures and stay
- Contact person and information liaison (elective appointments etc.) to patient administration, intensive care units, wards, outpatient clinics and other external branches such as the children’s hospital, insurance carriers, general practitioners and other referrers
