Senior Consultant Gynaecology and Obstetrics

The University Clinic for Gynaecology treats over 5,000 inpatients and 80,000 outpatients annually, making it one of the leading university women’s clinics in Switzerland, with a perinatal centre, a centre for ultrasound and fetal medicine, a DKG-certified gynaecological cancer centre with a breast centre, a certified endometriosis centre, and a certified fertility centre.

What to expect

The clinic covers all key areas and specialities of gynaecology, obstetrics, and reproductive medicine at a university level, as well as a large outpatient department including specialist clinics.

What you bring

You are a senior consultant with completed specialist training in gynaecology and obstetrics, ideally with experience in a senior consultant role. We expect you to work independently, show medical commitment and teamwork, have an interest in university teaching, and actively participate in the clinic’s research projects.

We offer a challenging and very varied role in all areas of gynaecology and obstetrics, including ultrasound/prenatal diagnostics and other specialist clinics, with teaching and research activities as well as a well-organised and responsible on-call service. Further training in one of the speciality areas including research activities/habilitation is possible.
