The Fribourg Detention Facility brings together the penitentiary structures of the canton of Fribourg. It has public law status and legal personality. It is administratively attached to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport, under the high supervision of the State Council. The Facility ensures the custody, accommodation, care and treatment of detainees entrusted to it and contributes to achieving the objectives assigned to the execution of custodial sentences and measures.

- Provide guard service and maintain constant supervision of detainees, taking into account the various detention regimes
- Manage the reception of the detention centre (entries/exits, camera)
- Escort detainees during maintenance or renovation work
- Contribute to the resocialisation of detainees by having a positive influence on them
- Enforce discipline, order and security among detainees
- Federal VET diploma, or equivalent training, with several years of professional experience
- Federal certificate as a detention officer from the Swiss Competence Centre for the Execution of Penal Sanctions, or willingness to undertake the training
- Good physical and mental condition, as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Good interpersonal skills, communication and conflict management
- Willingness to work shifts (irregular working hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays)
- Willingness to intervene outside working hours in cases of force majeure
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
- Clean debt enforcement and criminal record extracts
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
