About the job
The Children’s Hospital Central Switzerland of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS) is one of the largest children’s hospitals in Switzerland and provides care for the entire Central Switzerland region at the highest level. Our staff are committed around the clock to ensuring that children, adolescents and their families are measurably better cared for. LUKS, with locations in Lucerne, Sursee and Wolhusen, is a company of the LUKS Group and thus belongs to one of the leading hospital groups in Switzerland. In the course of the upcoming move to the new building of the Children’s Hospital Central Switzerland – still this year – we are specifically expanding our department for paediatric orthopaedics, paediatric neuro-orthopaedics and paediatric traumatology in the surgical clinic of the children’s hospital. We are creating new structures and expanding our team with a committed, professionally skilled leader. We are looking for reinforcement for our team immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- In this key role, you will take on the professional and organisational leadership of paediatric and adolescent sports orthopaedics and significantly shape its strategic direction
- Together with a highly motivated, interdisciplinary team, you will actively develop paediatric orthopaedics, neuro-orthopaedics and paediatric traumatology in the new children’s hospital
- You will contribute your expertise in paediatric traumatology on-call services and thus make a significant contribution to the high-quality care of our young patients
- In addition, you will actively and innovatively help shape paediatric orthopaedic teaching and research and strengthen the academic visibility of our institution
Your experience
- You hold a specialist title in orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system (or MEBEKO recognition)
- You bring solid clinical and operative experience in paediatric and adolescent sports orthopaedics, general paediatric orthopaedics as well as paediatric traumatology
- Entrepreneurial thinking and the motivation to independently establish and sustainably position a clinical focus distinguish you
- You combine team spirit, interdisciplinary collaboration and initiative with a strong passion for the holistic care of children and adolescents – from prevention to elite sport
Your prospects
- You can expect a responsible leadership role with great scope for design in a state-of-the-art new building of the Children’s Hospital Central Switzerland
- Look forward to an attractive development project as part of the paediatric orthopaedic team with high scope for design and a focus on structural development rather than rigid processes
- You will benefit from an interdisciplinary environment with close collaboration in paediatric traumatology, paediatric surgery, adult orthopaedics and paediatrics
- This is complemented by diverse opportunities in teaching and research, attractive further education and training, as well as a collegial team and contemporary employment conditions
We look forward to receiving your complete online application. If you have any questions, please contact Marco Götze, Co-Chief Physician, Head of Paediatric Orthopaedics, Neuro-orthopaedics & Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System, Tel.: 041 205 60 70.
