To strengthen the engineering team, we are looking for a specialist in customised solutions in power, rail, and energy technology for a successful Swiss engineering and manufacturing SME located in the Schmitten area, Switzerland - a committed, implementation-strong, and technically proficient individual as Project Manager Electrical Engineering (m/f/d).
In this role, you take full responsibility for technical development projects from the initial idea to series production. You act at the interface between development, production, and customers, actively contributing your technical expertise - also directly on site in production.

Workload: 100% (full-time)
Home office: Presence on site (5 days/week at the location) required to ensure close connection to production.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Project management & execution: Independent management of development projects for customised solutions in the fields of rail technology and industry (e.g. power resistors, rail heaters, load banks). Supervision of all project phases from concept creation to series maturity.
Documentation & specification: Preparation of technical specifications, requirements and functional specifications, data sheets, and operating instructions, taking into account relevant customer regulations, standards, and rail regulations.
Interface function & practical orientation: Technical clarification of customer requirements on site, moderation of technical meetings, and direct collaboration with production (including willingness to actively get involved on site).
Testing & fault analysis: Independent execution and documentation of feasibility tests and test series as well as pragmatic cause and fault analyses.
Technical support: Support of technical sales in complex electrical engineering issues (3rd-level support).
Knowledge & Requirements (Must-Haves)
Education: Successfully completed degree as an electrical engineer FH (not HF) or mechanical engineer FH with solid, long-standing experience in electrical engineering or electromechanics.
Professional experience: At least 5 years of verifiable professional experience as a project manager in an industrial production environment.
Industry knowledge: Profound electrical/electromechanical understanding; experience in the rail technology environment and knowledge of the corresponding regulations are a strong plus.
Language skills: Business fluent German (at least C1 level) as well as good English skills in spoken and written form for technical communication.
Personality & working style:
Strong "can-do" attitude and enjoyment of hands-on work - also directly in production.
Enthusiasm for working in a smaller, manageable team and flat SME structures.
Flexibility, solution orientation, and willingness to take on varied tasks beyond one’s own job description.
