As a "Head Waiter/Waitress", you will be responsible for ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests by providing a warm welcome, careful presentation of dishes and quality service at every meal, cocktail and event at the Résidence Rive-Reine Nestlé restaurant.
How you will make a difference as Head Waiter/Waitress
- Prepare rooms and event spaces: setting up and laying tables, arranging furniture and adapting modular spaces according to the type of event
- Ensure the service of meals, drinks and cocktails, clearing away and restoring spaces after events.
- Manage the bar as needed, ensuring the preparation and service of drinks.
- Guide and coordinate extra staff during events and take over independently in the absence of the maître d'hôtel.
- Carry out necessary handling tasks, such as moving and storing tables, chairs, and other furniture and equipment
- Participate in cleaning and routine maintenance tasks, including floors, furniture and service equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and quality service instructions.
What will enable you to succeed
- Federal VET Diploma in hospitality or equivalent training.
- Experience in food service, ideally in a 3 or 4-star hotel or in events.
- Strong interest in wines or knowledge of sommellerie is an asset.
- Ability to coordinate extra staff and work independently.
- Highly versatile, practical and good physical condition to regularly perform handling tasks.
- Excellent flexibility for variable hours including weekends
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team spirit
- Fluency in French and English is essential.
