The special needs day school of the Nathalie Foundation supports and cares for children and adolescents with complex developmental disorders (multiple disabilities, sensory processing disorders, and autism spectrum disorders).
For a class in Cycle 3, we are looking for a special needs educator from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, at 60 - 75% employment.
Your tasks:
- You will share responsibility with your job partner for the individual support of four pupils in a Cycle 3 class
- You will plan your lessons independently and document according to internal guidelines
- You will maintain close communication with the other class teacher
- You will work constructively with the interdisciplinary team, the boarding school, and the parents, and participate in school and quality development
- You will attend internal professional consultations, training sessions, and events
- You will supervise interns

You bring with you:
- A completed qualification in clinical or school special needs education or a teaching qualification with experience working with children with multiple disabilities and/or the willingness to acquire the necessary know-how
- An independent and flexible personality with humour, empathy, and team spirit
- Experience working with people with complex disabilities/ASD
- Experience with TEACCH and AAC is required, and knowledge of the Affolter model is an advantage
- High resilience and enjoyment in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
