We are looking for an Underwriter Liability for the Wallisellen office on a part-time basis (50%).

What you can do with us

As part of the liability underwriting team at Allianz Commercial in Wallisellen, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable new and replacement business in order to achieve the objectives for the liability area. Your tasks will also include negotiating shareholdings and premium structures as well as reviewing the contractual basis for our international liability clients. They will also have the opportunity to take responsibility for major customers.

Your specific tasks include:

• Underwriting profitable new and renewal business to achieve the objectives for the liability department (regional and/or worldwide)
• Conclude international insurance programs and align underwriting with the regulatory framework of liability – e.g., powers of attorney, signing authorizations, underwriting policies, rules, and principles
• Ensuring that there is always contractual certainty at the beginning of the contractual relationship
• Use of global pricing tools to determine premiums
• Ensuring the correct documentation of the guidelines, creating the file (electronically) and managing this file on all requests
• Proactive support for the documentation of policies and management processes
• Proactive support in the acquisition of new business and ensuring the retention of existing business with our international clients and brokers. This includes negotiations with clients and brokers
• Proactively contribute to collaboration with other areas, e.g. Sales & Distributions initiatives
• Proactively involve other functional areas in the underwriting process, e.g. Allianz Risk Consulting, Claims, Operations
• Maintain relationships with key brokerage clients and other key stakeholders, such as risk managers

Our expectations of you:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in insurance, preferably in the field of liability
• Good liability risk assessment skills and the ability to analyze data
• The ability to analyze current performance against various benchmarks
• In-depth knowledge of policy administration, information gathering, policy issuance, premium bookings and cancellations, as well as the ability to design and implement consistent wording
• Knowledge of the local liability insurance markets and the competitive landscape in the field of liability
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and accurately under pressure
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in German and good English skills
