In this role, you will:
Reports to the “IFP Packaging Technology Team Leader” and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of packaging changes across the region.
Typical responsibilities would include:
- Developing new packaging materials and dimensions for new products.
- Designing trial protocols and success criteria for packaging trials.
- Writing trial reports, assessing data via statistical analysis to make recommendations.
- Defining packaging quality requirements for packaging components and finished packaged products.
- Managing all technical aspects with our packaging suppliers. E.g. quality expectations, technical requirements, trial material delivery.
- Involved with and sometimes leading problem-solving exercises such as root cause analysis, why-why analysis, FMEA studies.
- Investigation and understanding of packaging machine/material interfaces.
- Developing and delivering cost saving opportunities related to packaging materials and processes.
- Writing and maintaining of accurate packaging specifications.
- Approval of technical aspects of new artworks/artwork revisions.
- SAP workflows.
- Creation of pallet plans via TOPS/CAPE software.
- Design, execution and evaluation of transit trials.
- Provide packaging technical guidance as part of multi-functional project teams alongside IFP Marketing, Procurement, Product Development, Logistics and Operations colleagues.
- Provide daily technical support to the mill (factory).

- Experience gained in education or within a similar role, relevant experience includes packaging, manufacturing or material development.
- A minimum standard of a Bachelors or similar university degree in a relevant field.
- Experience using quality tools such as; Statistical Process Control, Centre lining and Process Capability Studies.
- A minimum standard of a Bachelors or similar university degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrable experience of working in teams to effectively collaborate in a multifunctional environment.
- Business level English and fluency in one or more East Asian languages
