The Electrical Team Lead is responsible for managing a team that covers all aspects of Electrical Maintenance on the plant to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.

Job Description

What you’ll do

1. To provide leadership to the maintenance team (Electrical) in the day to day maintenance activities.

2. To develop, supervise and co-ordinate plant maintenance activities.

3. To plan and inspect completed work on plant equipment.

4. To maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work.

5. To acquire considerable knowledge of the process and the relevant Mechanical and Instrument & Control systems throughout the plant and apply the same to troubleshoot problems and lead the maintenance team in resolving the issue.

6.To train the subordinates on preventive and corrective maintenance.

7. To communicate effectively with managers, peers and team fellows, both verbally and in writing.

8. To execute work order through CMMS and co-ordinate with Electrical Team for job completion and technical matters.

9. To assist the Maintenance Manager in planning and scheduling outage works with due regard to annual scheduled maintenance plan.

10. To control plant inventory via CMMS system (Maximo).

11. To assist and co-ordinate with EHS Manager/Supervisor on all EHS activities including implementation of policies/procedures, inspections and audits.

12. To develop training schedules/plans for engineers and technicians in electrical section.

What you’ll bring

  • Graduate Engineer in Electrical from an accredited College or University.
  • Significant experience on combined cycle power plant O&M experience with advanced experience in team lead position in plant maintenance.

  • Prior experience with GE O&M in same capacity is preferred
  • Knowledge of GE products, services, and processes (GE employees only)

  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with computer tools
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time, as required
  • Understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS) like Maximo.
