CONTEXT & MISSION :

In order to strengthen our legal team, we are looking for a Legal Counsel who will provide legal advice and support to the L'Occitane Group business and entities. The Legal Counsel will be part of our Group Legal team, hence dealing with a variety of topics including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, sponsorship, lease, corporate, litigation, IP matters, data protection.

This position reports to the Senior Legal Counsel and is based in Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva, Headquarters).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Negotiate, review, and draft distribution agreements

  • Negotiate, review, comment on and draft a wide range of legal and commercial documents including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, partnership, etc.

  • Follow -up on lease agreements in France

  • Provide timely and result-oriented legal advice and support on a wide variety of matters across all lines of businesses to teams of L'Occitane Group

  • Respond to ad hoc queries including identification, analysis and evaluation of risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions

  • Work in close cooperation with several L'Occitane Group entities and with the support functions of L'Occitane Group and liaise with/manage external counsels

HOW YOU CAN FIT :

  • Master's degree in law

  • + 5 years' experience in a similar role in a Corporate environment ideally within the B2C industry

  • Very good knowledge of contract drafting, consumer and commercial law at an international level with a focus on Europe

  • Very good knowledge of French law

  • Fluent in English and French with solid writing skills in both languages

  • Ability to anticipate, efficiently manage multiple queries and issues, meet deadlines

  • Ability to take instructions and work independently

  • Hands-on approach, flexible, very business-oriented, attention to details

  • At ease in an international, fast-paced environment with remote teams and able to deal with ambiguity

  • Team player, very good communication & interpersonal skills
