Laboratory Scientist / Biologist – Plant & Microbiology Research

For one of our international clients, a leading company in the agricultural science sector, we are currently looking for a Laboratory Scientist / Biologist to support research activities in plant and microbial biology.

This position offers the opportunity to work in an innovative research environment focused on crop protection and plant health.

Laboratory Scientist / Biologist – Plant & Microbiology Research

Your responsibilities

• Perform and support laboratory and greenhouse experiments with crop plants

• Monitor plant growth and health in laboratories, climate chambers and greenhouse environments

• Contribute to the design, planning and execution of biological experiments

• Collect, analyse and report experimental data from efficacy studies

• Maintain detailed experimental records and prepare reports and data summaries

• Work with microbial cultures and biological material under sterile conditions (S2 environment)

• Support the development and optimisation of experimental methods

• Collaborate closely with scientists and technicians within a multidisciplinary research team

Your profile

• Degree in Biology, Plant Sciences, Agronomy, Microbiology or a related field (BSc or MSc)

• Experience working in laboratory environments

• Previous experience with plants, plant pathogens, or plant biology experiments

• Knowledge of microbiology techniques

• Experience in molecular biology or microscopy is an advantage

• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently

• Good IT skills (data analysis, spreadsheets, databases)

• German and English: B2 level or higher
