B: Job description:
- Elbit systems Switzerland is ongoing work on a large project with the Swiss army. We are now looking to recruit IT & communication technician in the company who will join the Field engineering & technical support team.
- The Job includes technical support in diverse environment: Labs, tactical platforms, and factories.
C: Training & Experience:
- IT & communication technicians receive on-the-job training from their supervisors or other experienced technicians. This training helps the technician learn the specific procedures and processes of the organization. IT & communication technicians can also receive training through internships. During an internship, the technician gains practical experience in a radio communications center.
D: Education & Requirements:
- Preferred associate’s degree or a post-secondary certificate.
- 2+ years’ experience of working on an IT Technician or other relevant position
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Preferred Hands on Experience with operation of Tactical IT and communication in Military environment (tactical platforms)
- A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
- Certification as IT Technician٫ such as e.g. CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional٫ will be a bonus
- Experience with routers and switches networks: OSPF, IGMP, multicast
- Experience work with Linux OS: Centos, ALMA & Ubuntu
- Experience operating OVS and networking on 2 & 3 layer
E: Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure and manage software and their functions according to specifications
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting
- troubleshoot issues with equipment and connections in tactical platforms and lab environments
- operating measuring equipment for radio, intercom & communication systems in tactical platforms & lab environment
