Help shape the future of our financial services clients by integrating sustainability solutions across their business, investment, risk management, and reporting frameworks
As a Consultant / Senior Consultant in our Sustainability team, your role will be instrumental in supporting banks, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions to tackle some of today’s key challenges and navigate the complex sustainable finance regulatory environment. Overall, you will be supporting our clients in integrating sustainability in their daily activities and processes – from distribution, investment, risk management, underwriting, and reporting perspective. You will also support Deloitte’s growth in the sustainable finance market by contributing to innovative and tailored go-to-market initiatives and propositions.
You will make an impact by
- Strategically supporting and guiding clients with the implementation of key regulatory requirements for sustainable finance (e.g. SFDR, AMAS self-regulations, FINMA requirements) and with the integration of sustainability in their investment process, advisory and portfolio management activities, risk management process
- Working together with colleagues to develop methodologies for the integration of sustainability risks in the traditional financial risks of banks and insurers (focussing on climate and nature risks)
- Conducting researches on a broad range of sustainability topics and trends relevant for banks, asset managers, investment firms, asset owners and investment firms
- Increasing quality and transparency by providing assurance on other related engagements in the sustainable finance field
- Communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to clearly convey technical concepts and translate complex models into actionable business decision
- Actively supporting and contributing to the firm’s sustainable finance offering and business development activities
Who We Are Looking For
- You are passionate about FSI and sustainability and are interested in supporting financial institutions in aligning their strategies to their sustainability goals.
- You have a Master Degree in economics, management, finance, sustainable finance or other related fields.
- Subject matter expertise in Sustainable finance (2+ years of practical experience in the field).
- You are familiar with key sustainable finance regulations (e.g., SFDR, FINMA circular on nature-related financial risks, AMAS self-regulation on transparency and disclosure for sustainability-related collective assets, SBA guidelines on the integration of ESG preferences and ESG risks) and can support with the technical and industry specific aspects of the requirements.
- You are familiar and have experience with the typical banking and investment processes. Experience in relation to risk management and risk modelling is an advantage.
- You have strong written and oral communication skills and are able to clearly communicate complex topics in both English and German.
