The EHL School of Practical Arts department is responsible for delivering hands-on training in key hospitality skills, such as culinary arts, service excellence, and guest relations. It ensures that students gain practical experience in real-world settings, preparing them to meet industry standards. The mission of the F&B Supervisor at the Montreux Jazz Café bar at EHL is to lead bar operations while delivering exceptional service and hospitality. With a hands-on role behind the bar, they ensure smooth coordination, maintain high quality standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Their goal is to provide a vibrant, memorable experience that reflects the spirit of the Montreux Jazz Café and EHL’s commitment to excellence.
What will you do?
- Participate in the smooth running of the service.
- Organize the setting up and setting down.
- Participate in the supervision of students.
- Be responsible for monitoring the quality of service and hygiene standards.
- Check the wine reception and storage.
- Manage the line management and supply.
Who you are?
- You have CFC or equivalent qualification and Advanced training in hospitality.
- You have 3 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- You are rigorous and detail oriented.
- You have experience in high-volume brewing.
- You have strong bartending skills, including speed, mixology basics, inventory management, and drink menu creation.
- You possess excellent organizational skills, a sharp memory, and the ability to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- You demonstrate solid knowledge of beverages and bring creative ideas.
- You are energetic, professional, and maintain a positive attitude even under pressure.
- You excel in customer relations, creating a welcoming atmosphere and handling challenging situations with care and vigilance.
- You are autonomous, honest, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- You are fluent in English (C1).
