Junior Laboratory Technician (m/w/d)

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are immediately seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Laboratory Technician for a temporary assignment of one year with the possibility of extension.

Roche's Instrumental Analytics department is a pivotal part of Reagent Research and Design. The department specializes in the development, validation, and implementation of a wide spectrum of state-of-the-art analytical methods. This laboratory is a hub of diverse technologies, ranging from Liquid Chromatography (LC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) to digital PCR and FTIR microscopy.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan analysis with support from supervisory staff
• Prepare standards and samples
• Perform experiments on different instruments
• Data analysis with support from supervisory staff
• Document experiments
• Escalate issues when things are not going according to plan
• Recommend next steps based on data generated
• Drive efforts to gain efficiency within work packages
• Organize and manage their own time within scope of assigned work packages
• Ordering and maintaining stocks of material

Must-Haves

• Completed Education as Lab Technician (Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology)
• 1-2 years of work experience in a Lab Environment
• Experience with biological samples handling
• Fluent in English
• Strong interest for practical lab work
• Able to think not only one directional but multidirectional
• Teamplayer
