Our client, an international and purpose-driven organization based in Lausanne, is looking for an Accountant / Financial Controller (100%) to join its finance team in a key and high-impact role.
Description
- Lead financial controlling activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with the CFO and departments to deliver actionable financial insights and drive performance.
- Analyse costs and services performance, identifying improvement areas and proposing solutions.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data in close collaboration with the accounting team.
- Act as a support to accounting when needed (e.g. closings, audit preparation).
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification (e.g. Brevet fédéral), with at least 5 years of experience in finance including a strong focus on controlling.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (Swiss CO) with the ability to support operational accounting activities when required.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to build KPIs, improve processes, and translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Advanced Excel skills (including Power Query / Power Pivot) and good experience with ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented personality with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with non-financial stakeholders in an international setting; fluent in English, French is a strong plus.
