À propos de cette offre
As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Test Automation Engineer for a temporary assignment of 1 year, with high probability of extension.
Join an innovative team shaping the future of diagnostics. The focus is on the development of a complex system for molecular diagnostics. In this sensitive environment where precision is critical, the Test Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software algorithms and hardware interfaces function flawlessly.
The role acts as a Software Engineer in Test (SET) and utilizes modern methods such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to bridge the gap between requirements and technical implementation. The Test Automation Engineer is jointly responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automated test strategies for the molecular diagnostic platforms.
This includes both software-side security and the validation of physical interfaces through the use of state-of-the-art robotics solutions (standard market solutions as well as customized in-house developments). This work contributes directly to ensuring that diagnostic results in the laboratory are available quickly and with absolute reliability. The position operates in a technologically demanding field that combines the safety of Rust with the agility of modern CI/CD processes to perfect life-saving medical technology.
The perfect Candidate
While a strong technical foundation is required, the ideal candidate views software quality as a strategic advantage. You are likely a perfect match if:- You Think Like a Developer: You understand how code is built and write clean, maintainable, and dry automation code.
- You Are a "Shift-Left" Advocate: You collaborate with Product and Dev teams early on to catch logic gaps before code is written.
- You Despise Flakiness: You are obsessed with stability and take pride in building "green" pipelines the team trusts.
- You are a Tooling Polyglot: You choose the right tool (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress) based on project needs.
- You Bridge the Gap: You translate technical bugs into business risks and turn requirements into rigorous test cases.
- You are a Force Multiplier: You enjoy mentoring manual QA testers and helping developers take ownership of tests.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance for High-Tech: Development and implementation of automated test strategies for complex molecular diagnostics systems.
- BDD Methodology: Active application of Behavior-Driven Development to translate requirements into executable specifications (e.g., using Cucumber).
- Development of Test Environments: Construction and maintenance of test frameworks using tools similar to Selenium, Appium, or SpecFlow, supplemented by libraries for laboratory robots.
- Robotics Integration: Evaluation and integration of commercial robot arms (e.g., Cobots) and participation in the development of internal robotics tools.
- ALM & Traceability: Use of ALM tools such as Codebeamer to manage requirements and test cases.
- CI/CD Integration: Responsibility for automated quality assurance within DevOps pipelines (GitHub and Azure DevOps).
- End-to-End Validation: Ensuring data integrity from patient sample barcode scans to the final PCR result analysis.
- Compliance & Documentation: Supporting the creation of test plans, protocols, and reports in accordance with ISO 13485.
