For our client, a leading life sciences company in the Basel region, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Metrology Manager (m/w/d). This innovative organization specializes in integrated analytical solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries, operating in a GMP-regulated environment with cutting-edge laboratory facilities and a strong focus on regulatory compliance and operational excellence

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive metrology frameworks ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency across all laboratory units 
• Build and mentor a high-performance team of metrology specialists while fostering professional development and technical expertise
• Manage complete equipment lifecycles from procurement and installation through qualification, maintenance, change control, and final decommissioning 
• Develop standardized procedures and documentation protocols for equipment management across multiple laboratory environments 
• Ensure GMP compliance and regulatory adherence throughout all metrology operations and quality systems 
• Collaborate with stakeholders including laboratory teams, quality assurance, IT departments, and external service providers 
• Drive process optimization and implement best practices for equipment calibration and maintenance routines 
• Lead audit support as the designated metrology expert during regulatory inspections and compliance assessments

Your Profile

• Engineering or Life Sciences degree or equivalent extensive hands-on experience in metrology and equipment lifecycle management 
• Proven leadership background with experience managing cross-functional teams in matrix organizational structures
• Deep metrology expertise including regulatory compliance, quality systems, and GMP requirements in laboratory environments 
• Strong communication abilities and exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail 
• Strategic thinking combined with practical, hands-on problem-solving approach 
• Excellent English proficiency; German language skills are advantageous 
• Experience with KPI monitoring and resource planning for scalable team operations
