Molecular Biologist – Research Scientist

We are currently recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients – a leading player in agro-biological research – a Molecular Biologist – Research Scientist for a 12-month temporary assignment based in Stein (AG).

Molecular Biologist – Research Scientist

Your Responsibilities

Within a dynamic and multicultural research team, you will contribute to the development and application of molecular biology techniques in an innovative R&D environment.

Your main tasks will include:

• Developing and applying molecular tools for:
  • tracking molecular markers in planta
  • product QC and microbial tracking
• Performing and optimizing bioassays and molecular/microbiology-based assays
• Supporting plant trials with microbial-based products and biostimulants
• Planning and executing scientific experiments
• Collecting, processing, and organizing samples (including for external CRO analyses)
• Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting experimental data
• Writing scientific reports and communicating results in English
• Drafting detailed experimental protocols to ensure reproducibility
• Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting deviations or errors
• Providing technical support to laboratory teams

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Molecular Biology (minimum requirement)
• Initial laboratory experience (minimum 6-month internship accepted)
• Background in plant biology and/or microbiology is a plus
• Hands-on wet lab experience is essential
• Strong ability to plan and execute scientific experiments
• Good data analysis and critical thinking skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken – mandatory)
