Seeking economic development while safeguarding financial stability, regulators play an instrumental role in promoting the adoption of new technologies while making sure it is done in a sound manner, that doesn’t harm the common interest. Strengthening Data & Digital compliance is therefore instrumental to sustain the ever-accelerating adoption of new technologies and digital services, while staying abreast of the evolving regulatory landscape and minimizing implied risks.
Through this position, you will acquire expertise in the strategic field of Data & Digital Compliance, learn about wholesale banking, develop professional coordination and planning competencies. You will build a strong network across the Compliance department and the company's Data & Digital community, including with subject matter experts and senior managers from across multiple functions and geographies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct Compliance risk assessments and coordinate with business partners & compliance colleagues across the region to review usage of new solutions : AI, data lake, cloud computing, digital services etc.
- Strengthen norms, guidelines and structure the Compliance risk assessment methodology for Data & Digital services (Data Privacy, Conflict of Interest & Information Barriers, Archiving, Outsourcing, e-Banking etc.)
- Enhance Oversight function by monitoring regulatory changes, supporting the roll out of controls, collecting risk indicators, and preparing oversight committees
- Prepare decks for various presentations to educate people, as well as update management and stakeholders on Data & Digital Compliance

Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.
Profile requiredPLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Information Technology, Finance & Banking or similar
- A previous experience in compliance of banking sector would be appreciated
- Familiar with emerging technologies such as AI, Public Cloud, Digital Services, Distributed Ledgers, Information Systems design etc.
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Able to manage projects independently, including planning, coordinating, presenting and leading them through completion (previous experience in bank, audit or consultancy firm is a plus)
- Detail oriented and striving to complete tasks with high level of accuracy
- Able to produce dashboards (Power BI, Excel), and presentations (Power BI) with high or complete autonomy
- Able to learn and adapt quickly
- Display of innovation, team spirit and time management
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
