Working in a toxic environment becomes exhausting, especially when the people around you completely lack honesty. You never feel valued, even when you take risks or make considerable efforts. The slightest mistake immediately triggers a reprimand, as if constant pressure were a normal way of operating. Communication is entirely one-way: you receive orders, criticism, and comments, but never any listening, never any dialogue, never any recognition. Whatever you do, it is never enough, never good enough, never appreciated. This climate is made all the more difficult by the fact that some managers, particularly lieutenants, adopt a haughty attitude, as if they were above everything and everyone. They seem to forget that they are, at heart, mere human beings, and that in real life, they would probably not behave this way. In this environment, the value of the individual disappears completely. We become mere pawns, "little puppets," interchangeable and insignificant. We come to wonder why we continue to support a system that offers neither respect, support, nor recognition. What works well?

My experience at SIR SA was extremely disappointing. The working environment is marked by constant pressure, chaotic internal communication and a blatant lack of respect for employees. The company sometimes requires people to come to work even when they're ill, which demonstrates a management style totally disconnected from staff well-being. There is no recognition of effort: the risks taken in the field are high, but are not accompanied by any bonus or form of compensation. The working atmosphere is tense, with everyone working in fear of making a mistake or being called to order unjustifiably. What's more, deadlines are unrealistic and often changed at the last minute, without consultation... In short, the working environment at SIR is toxic, poorly supervised and deeply unbalanced. I would strongly advise anyone concerned about their personal and professional balance not to join this organization.

What could be improved?

The company operates with a profound lack of ethics. Deadlines are imposed without logic or respect for realities on the ground, and commitments made by management are very often not kept. Respect for employees' private lives is almost non-existent: constant pressure to work even when ill, intrusion into personal lives, out-of-hours calls... The atmosphere is deleterious: constant tension, total lack of recognition, and major risks in the field with no compensation. The company puts its profits before the health and safety of its employees. Internal communication is disastrous. Essential information is always late or unclear, and decisions are taken opaquely, often without consultation. The general impression is that management is playing with the limits of the law to maximize profits, even if it means exhausting staff or bending certain rules. In short: a toxic structure, poorly organized and profoundly unfair to its employees. I would strongly advise anyone serious about their values not to apply.
