As the current holder is due to leave, we are looking for an experienced person to join our Finance & Controlling unit in Lausanne. Leading a team of three colleagues, you will ensure the management and reliability of our billing and accounting activities, while actively contributing to the financial management of Region 2. You will work closely with the Head of Finance & Controlling as well as with the various units of the Regional Directorate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, support and develop a team of three colleagues
- Manage the entire billing process and ensure its quality, timeliness and reliability
- Monitor general accounting and contribute to the quality of periodic closings
- Oversee controlling activities and ensure the reliability of financial data and indicators
- Analyse variances, identify trends and provide decision-making support elements Participate actively in budgeting processes, forecasts and financial closings
- Develop and enhance reporting and management tools, notably using Excel, Power Query and Power BI
- Ensure the application and compliance with the internal control system (ICS) within the unit Identify opportunities for improvement, simplification and automation of processes
- Participate in cross-functional projects of the Regional Directorate and provide your financial expertise to the various units
PROFILE
- Federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting, obtained or in progress, or equivalent training
- Proven experience in accounting, billing and/or controlling
- First successful experience in team leadership or strong motivation to move into a managerial role
- Very good command of Excel; knowledge of Power Query and Power BI appreciated
- Comfortable with data, reporting tools and indicator analysis
- Ability to structure, prioritise and work independently
- Analytical, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
- Rigor, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage periods of high activity
- Excellent command of French; knowledge of German is an asset
