Project Lead Architect (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF135,000 - 140,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Lead Architect / Deputy Managing Director to lead demanding architecture and urban planning projects and to further develop an established Swiss location. In addition to operational project responsibility, you will take on leadership, budget, and acquisition tasks and support management with strategic and organisational issues. The project environment ranges from sustainable building concepts to complex urban development and infrastructure projects. The position is aimed at an entrepreneurially minded architectural personality who wishes to take on additional responsibility within management in the medium term.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of demanding architecture and urban planning projects
Control of projects regarding quality, costs, deadlines, and resources
Leadership and coordination of the local architecture and project team
Support of management in operational, organisational, and strategic matters
Responsibility for project budgets, fees, resource planning, and profitability
Participation in project acquisition, competitions, offers, and contract negotiations
Care and advice for clients, principals, and project partners
Leadership and coordination of specialist planners, experts, and other project participants
Ensuring architectural and planning quality throughout the relevant SIA phases
Further development of internal processes, project standards, and organisational structures
Representation of the location towards clients, partners, and relevant networks
Cross-location collaboration and knowledge and resource exchange with other planning teams
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Architect ETH/FH/University or comparable university degree
Several years of professional experience in leading demanding architecture projects in Switzerland
Several years of experience in a leadership or team management role
Sound knowledge of Swiss planning and construction processes as well as relevant SIA standards
Experience in project controlling, budget responsibility, acquisition, and contract processes
Very good German skills as well as English and/or French skills are an advantage
Experience in urban planning, sustainable building, or complex interdisciplinary projects is an advantage
