Role:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced professional for the client representation and project management of a long-term oriented real estate portfolio with residential and commercial properties. You will be responsible for demanding renovations, refurbishments as well as new build and replacement new build projects and consistently represent the interests of the ownership. The focus is on managing costs, schedules, quality, sustainability and project risks as well as leading interdisciplinary planning teams. Furthermore, you will contribute to investment planning, strategic property development and long-term value preservation of the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Representation of the client towards architects, specialist planners, contractors, authorities and other project participants

• Overall project management of renovations and refurbishments from project initiation and commissioning through planning and implementation to handover and project completion

• Management of new build and replacement new build projects from building permit submission to completion while safeguarding owner interests

• Supervising and monitoring project objectives regarding costs, schedules, quality, sustainability and risks and initiating appropriate corrective measures

• Managing project commissioning and change management including assessing impacts on investment costs, schedules, quality and utilisation

• Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams as well as preparing project decisions and escalating relevant deviations and conflicts of objectives

• Conducting and supporting planner selection, competition and awarding procedures for renovation and refurbishment projects

• Preparing investment proposals, project budgets and forecasts as well as ongoing cost controlling and target group-appropriate reporting

• Contributing to the annual investment planning and strategic property development of the real estate portfolio

• Reviewing and managing planner, contractor and general contractor contracts as well as supporting relevant awarding and contract processes

• Assessing projects in terms of economic efficiency, utilisation, operating costs, lifecycle and long-term value retention

• Ensuring sustainable project development considering economic, ecological and architectural cultural requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering ETH/FH, ideally complemented by real estate management training such as CUREM or equivalent

• Several years of experience in client representation and project management of demanding construction projects in Switzerland

• Solid experience with new builds, renovations and refurbishments, preferably in residential and commercial construction

• Knowledge in cost, schedule, quality and risk management as well as investment planning and project controlling

• Experience with planner, contractor and general contractor contracts as well as planner selection and awarding procedures

• Expertise in real estate development, economic feasibility studies and sustainable building as well as interest in architectural cultural issues

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
