Database Platform Engineer SQL (m/f/d)

This position combines database platforms, architecture and project responsibility. We are looking for an experienced individual who operates highly available database systems, further develops them and actively shapes technical standards in the database environment.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of MS SQL Server, MariaDB and Oracle platforms
Design of database architectures and technical solution designs
Management of infrastructure, lifecycle and optimisation projects
Consulting internal departments on architecture, security, performance and operational topics
Ensuring availability, monitoring and operation together with internal and external partners
Participation in on-call duty for business-critical platforms
Qualifications:
University degree or comparable further education in the IT field
Several years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server AlwaysOn, performance tuning and disaster recovery
Knowledge of T-SQL, PowerShell, Azure SQL and ideally MariaDB or Oracle
Experience with database architectures, high availability and platform operation
Interest in integration platforms such as Kafka or IBM webMethods ESB is an advantage
Independent, analytical working style as well as very good German and good English skills
