In the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (Clinic Director Dr med Angelo Bernardon), children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are treated. The integrated treatment offer of the clinic includes an outpatient area with a central outpatient clinic as well as four outpatient clinics distributed across the canton, a consultation and liaison service, and an inpatient area with an acute ward, two psychotherapy wards, a day clinic and a clinic school. The teams consist of clinical professionals from the fields of medicine, psychology, nursing and social pedagogy, and in the clinic school, teachers and special needs educators. The Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy is a teaching hospital of the University of Zurich and a certified training centre category A.
Profile
- You have a Bachelor of Arts from a University of Applied Sciences for Social Work or an equivalent qualification. Further training in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, child protection, mandate management or systemic counselling is desirable
- You bring professional experience in a similar or comparable environment and have experience with children and adolescents
- You are open-minded and empathetic, enjoy working solution-oriented in a team and convince through your reliability, good organisation and flexibility
- You hold a category B driving licence and are willing to actively visit families in the canton of Aargau with a company vehicle
- You speak and write German at least at C1 level and have very good communication skills. You are confident in using common office applications
Tasks
- You work, among other things, in an outreach manner in the interdisciplinary team advising mentally ill children, adolescents and their families on behalf of the case-leading therapists
- You represent the social work expertise in the multiprofessional treatment team
- Cooperation and networking with authorities, offices and institutions
- Independent coordination of support services in cooperation with institutions, authorities, mandate holders and relatives with the aim of limiting the adverse effects of a mental illness
- Searching for suitable follow-up solutions as well as discharge planning in cooperation with patients and other persons
- Initiating support and/or protective measures in child protection cases
