To complement our team in Burgdorf, we are looking for a social worker at 60-80% to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your Responsibilities
- You take on case management and competently and solution-orientedly advise asylum seekers, provisionally admitted persons, recognised refugees as well as persons with protection status S
- You conduct structured client interviews (initial consultation, support in everyday matters, conflict resolution as well as mediation and conciliation)
- You carefully clarify concerns, coordinate appropriate measures and work closely with internal and external specialist agencies
- You implement measures for social integration
- You ensure complete, correct and comprehensible file management (physical and electronic) as well as clean case documentation
- You align support services according to legal bases (SAFG, SHG) and applicable guidelines (SKOS/BKSE) taking into account the principle of subsidiarity
- You prepare decisions including legal remedy instructions and ensure their professional and legal quality
- You maintain professional collaboration with clients, authorities and internal departments
Your Profile
- Completed training in social pedagogy / social work (HF/FH) / Bachelor in Social Work
- 0 to 1 year of relevant professional experience
- Cooperation and teamwork skills
- Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with people from different backgrounds
- Ability to independently implement social interventions
- Basic and user knowledge of MS Office applications
- Impeccable character (no entries in debt enforcement and criminal records)
- German | spoken: C1 | written: C1
- English | spoken: B2 | written: B2
- Additional asylum-relevant language (advantageous) | spoken: B2 | written: B2
