Company Description
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a reference institution at both national and international levels. To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to discover the highlights of the year 2025 by clicking here .
The Human Resources Department has the primary mission of ensuring the development of the institution's human capital in view of organisational evolution. It constantly seeks to innovate, challenge, and improve its practices while basing its strategy on the positive experience of employees. The HR policy of the HUG is based on the development of skills and career paths in line with institutional needs and focuses on consideration of the individual, work-life balance, and health and safety at work.
Internal medicine is a specialty focused – as its name indicates – on the inside of the body and organs. The parent discipline has given rise, over the last three decades, to multiple disciplines, which have become full specialties for several years and have obtained the same status as internal medicine itself. The specialist brings the latest knowledge of their specialty to the patient, and in university centres is able to develop sophisticated research programmes, either clinical or laboratory-based, which will integrate this knowledge through translational medicine into practice.
Job DescriptionWithin the HR team of the Department of Internal Medicine, your activities notably include the administrative management of the department's employees, including the production of various administrative acts.
As part of this opportunity, you provide information and advice to employees and managers on matters related to HR procedures and assume administrative management for the target audience for which you are responsible, in synergy with two deputy HR managers and two HR managers. Thus, you intervene administratively throughout the entire lifecycle of staff members, from recruitment to departure, and in connection with numerous partners from the HR department and the institution (salary manager, recruitment service, managers, etc.).
You guarantee, by delegation from the head of human resources, the organisation and management of activities related to file processing while ensuring a fair distribution of priorities. You coordinate HR services according to the rules and directives of the HR department, representing the institutional human resources policy.
You support your manager in developing a harmonious and respectful working environment.
Customer and solution-oriented, you also identify with the values of the HUG, which you embody in the exercise of your duties.
QualificationsYou hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification in the field of human sciences, hotel business management, or economic sciences, and you have necessarily completed your initial training with the HR manager certificate.
You have a minimum of three to five years’ professional experience in a similar role. Knowledge of the medical environment and/or the Geneva public sector is an asset. Your experience has led you to develop a sense of discretion and confidentiality as well as strong organisational skills.
You have very good command of common IT tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as collaborative tools (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
You have perfect command of the French language, both spoken and written.
