Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced individual as a Structural Engineer for demanding projects in structural engineering. You will contribute your expertise already in early project phases and combine structural calculations, structural design, and strategic planning with the development of technical studies. The focus is on versatile tasks in plant construction and infrastructure projects, where technical feasibility, economic efficiency, and constructive quality are equally considered. You will accompany the projects holistically and coordinate the structural engineering relevant interfaces with specialist planners, clients, and other project participants.

Responsibilities:

• Development and processing of structural concepts for demanding projects in plant, infrastructure, and structural engineering

• Execution of structural calculations, dimensioning, and verifications for various structural systems and materials

• Early technical advice in project development as well as assessment of different structural and construction variants

• Preparation of feasibility studies, variant studies, and technical concepts as a basis for decision-making for further planning

• Dimensioning and constructive processing of structures in reinforced concrete, steel, and other project-specific construction methods

• Ensuring norm-compliant planning considering relevant SIA standards and Eurocodes

• Coordination of structural engineering relevant interfaces with architecture, plant planning, building services, and other disciplines

• Technical assessment of economic efficiency, feasibility, and constructive optimisation during various project phases

• Creation and review of calculation documents, technical reports, concepts, and planning documentation

• Professional support of projects from the concept and preliminary design phase to execution planning and assistance with technical questions during realisation

Qualifications:

• University degree in civil engineering at FH or ETH level, ideally with a focus on structural engineering

• Several years of professional experience in structural engineering and structural analysis

• Sound knowledge in structural design, static calculation, and constructive dimensioning

• Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Eurocodes

• Experience with common structural, FEM, and CAD software for structural engineering

• Professional interest in plant construction and infrastructure projects

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
