apprenticeship as an IT Specialist EFZ (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- At the start of your training, you will gain a comprehensive insight into the IT operations of the Balgrist University Hospital and get to know the various ICT specialist areas - from the Service Desk to application management and ICT infrastructure to application development
- You develop, test and expand modern software solutions for hospital operations
- You analyse requirements and implement new functions and digital solutions together with the specialist departments
- You operate, maintain and optimise existing applications, databases and interfaces
- You participate in exciting digitalisation and innovation projects in healthcare
- You use modern development tools as well as AI-supported programming assistants to support you in analysing, developing, testing and documenting software.
- You learn current software development methods and work in an experienced development team.
- You attend vocational school including the vocational baccalaureate school (BMS) as well as inter-company courses
Your profile
- Completed secondary school A with an average grade of 5 or higher in mathematics and English
- Great interest in IT, software development and digital technologies
- Logical and networked thinking skills as well as enjoyment in solving challenging tasks
- Independent, careful and responsible way of working
- Joy of learning, perseverance and curiosity for new technologies
- Openness, ability to work in a team and interest in medical and technical processes
- Passed BMS entrance exam or willingness to take it at the beginning of 2027
