IT Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
You think about cybersecurity holistically and want to secure IT systems against modern threats? In this position, you combine technical engineering with innovative security concepts and develop protection mechanisms for complex IT and cloud infrastructures. We are looking for a personality who recognises risks early, implements security solutions technically, and sustainably strengthens digital infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
Design, implementation and further development of modern IT security architectures
Securing cloud and on-premises environments with contemporary security concepts
Implementation of zero-trust architectures, conditional access and identity-based access controls
Development and optimisation of security policies for networks, endpoints, servers and cloud services
Analysis of vulnerabilities, assessment of technical risks and implementation of appropriate countermeasures
Integration and further development of security solutions for identity protection, endpoint security and network monitoring
Automation of recurring security processes with scripting and modern interfaces
Conducting technical security assessments and supporting hardening measures
Support in architectural decisions, security reviews and technical transformation projects
Continuous evaluation of new technologies to improve the security posture
Qualifications:
Solid experience in IT security, cybersecurity engineering or technical security administration
Good knowledge of network and system architectures and their protection
Experience with modern security concepts such as zero trust, least privilege and defence in depth
Knowledge of cloud security, for example for Microsoft Azure or comparable platforms
Understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security and vulnerability management
Experience with scripting, for example PowerShell or Python, is an advantage
Analytical thinking and ability to solve complex security problems in a structured manner
Initiative, sense of responsibility and interest in current cyber threats
