The People & Culture department of the Bienne Hospital Centre is jointly responsible for managing staffing needs and personnel allocation. It makes a significant contribution to the development of the entire organisation. In this role, your activities are divided between Payroll and Social Insurance. In close collaboration with our Payroll and Social Insurance specialists, you help ensure high-quality processes, completed on time and in compliance with legal requirements.
To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately or by agreement for a:
Payroll and Social Insurance Specialist (80–100%)
Your tasks – our position
- You participate in the monthly payroll processing as well as the monthly and annual closing tasks and perform the necessary checks and reconciliations.
- You ensure high data quality in our HR systems and intervene at the interfaces with financial accounting.
- You independently handle various social insurance topics – from cases of illness and accident to APG and maternity/paternity allowances, including notifications of entries, exits, and changes.
- You manage communications with social insurance providers, authorities, and administrations and ensure the correct handling of social insurance aspects within payroll management.
- You are a competent point of contact for our internal partners regarding complex questions related to Payroll and Social Insurance.
- You work closely with the Payroll specialist, the Social Insurance specialist, and other internal departments.
- In case of absence, you provide cover for our affiliated companies and take charge of both payroll management and accounting as well as social insurance tasks, ensuring continuity of processes within the required deadlines.
- You actively share your expertise within the team and participate in optimising and developing processes, controls, working methods, and various projects.
Your skills – our expectations
- You have a basic commercial education or equivalent training and have supplemented your background with training in human resources, for example a federal specialist HR certificate or additional training in Payroll and/or Social Insurance.
- You have professional experience in payroll processing and social insurance.
- You possess good knowledge of the Swiss social insurance system as well as a good understanding of accounting aspects.
- You are very proficient in MS Office and ideally have experience with SAP and Abacus.
- You communicate fluently in French and German, both orally and in writing.
- You stand out for your numerical aptitude as well as a structured, reliable, and efficient working method.
- You have good overall thinking ability and an excellent understanding of processes and interfaces.
- You demonstrate ease in communication, a strong sense of responsibility, and enjoy collaborating with a variety of interlocutors.
