Role:

As a Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you hold the reins of a Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Engineering, operation, and further development are your responsibility, and your technical opinion counts. Your strength is particularly evident at the interfaces between cloud, identity, and network. Automation is not a side project for you but a working principle. This creates a platform that runs securely, performantly, and economically.

Responsibilities:

• In complex incidents involving cloud, network, identity, and Windows Server, you get to the root causes with thorough root-cause analyses.

• You design virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups (NSGs) as well as storage and compute services and bring them into operation.

• You are also responsible for Microsoft Entra ID with roles, app registrations, and enterprise applications as well as for implementing access and security requirements.

• You implement Windows 365, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and operate these solutions for modern workplaces.

• Furthermore, you develop operational processes with PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and secure the platform with monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• You also carry out migrations, changes, and lifecycle measures and optimise backup, recovery, and costs of existing resources.

Qualifications:

• You bring at least 3 years of experience in Windows system engineering and cloud environments.

• You master central IaaS and PaaS components and have already used virtual machines, storage, and private networking productively.

• Role-based access control (RBAC), identity concepts, as well as Windows Server and Microsoft client infrastructures are well known to you.

• You automate confidently with scripts and have ideally implemented IaC with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• In addition, you understand firewalls, VPN, routing, DNS, and hybrid connections and are familiar with Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, and concepts for business continuity.

• You also think beyond system boundaries, tackle problems independently, and are confident in technical discussions in both German and English.
